Appointment of Chief Operations Officer

Harty Search & Selection has been exclusively and confidentially retained to source suitable candidates for the position of Chief Operations Officer for a sizeable and successful company based in the Midwest of Ireland.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Chairperson and leadership team in driving the strategic vision and operational strategy
  • Convert strategy into actionable goals that enable improved service delivery, operating performance and continued growth
  • Oversee operational activities of the company and delivery of it’s goals
  • Ensure overall cost effectiveness and quality outputs across the business
  • Closely analyse internal operations and business performance, continually identifying areas for enhancement
  • In conjunction with leadership team, develop strategies that ensure alignment with short and long term objectives
  • Represent the company at industry specific events and conferences

General Requirements

  • 10 years management experience, with a minimum of five years at senior management level
  • 3rd Level Degree in a business discipline. Additional, or post graduate qualifications, are an advantage
  • A leader; detailed knowledge across the range of business functions; Operations, Finance, MIS, Service Delivery, Human Resources
  • Keen awareness as to the importance of optimising the use of data when measuring the performance of the business and delivering on KPIs
  • Strong personal presence
  • Comfortable in leading and motivating a sizeable and professional team
  • Credibility in a leadership role and adaptable in terms of the needs of the business
  • Incisive, yet practical, decision making capability
