Reporting to the Site HR Director, the Employee Relations Manager will undertake and execute strategically important projects and initiatives which will feed into the mission of HR to position the site to competitively bid for corporate business opportunities, as well as achieve greater levels of responsiveness in meeting customer expectations. The site’s ambition is to continue as an employer of choice in the local community as well as being an attractive location for global talent. The Employee Relations Manager will play a key role in developing sophisticated management programmes to help drive the organisation.
They will understand the needs of the business at site level and ensure that the management programmes deployed maximise the potential of its people, and recognise their commitment. As well as working within the ER specialism, the appointed candidate will, as part of the HR team, will be attuned to the wider HR agenda with a shared oversight on key operational HR activities; Talent Acquisition, Compensation and Benefits, Learning and Development, Organisational design and Communications.
Candidates will have a third-level qualification and a minimum of 10 years’ career experience as a HR Professional with 3 years’ experience in a similar management position, or as head of a HR function in smaller, but sophisticated setting.
They will have strong interpersonal skills as well as the ability to think strategically in problem-solving.
They will be able to demonstrate an instinctive drive to research, evaluate and propose ideas for change as well as a track record of managing change in an organisation.
